I was watching America fall deeper into Idiocracy – wondering what bombshell was coming next. “The Ignorance Cartel” is the second part in the “Hexe Trilogy” which examines the conservative Right Wing’s thirst to burn witches to uphold “family values”…and they’re still doing it…while more disinformation was being pumped into your anti-social media feed, not being fact checked, just being re-affirmed by the all seeing algorithm.

It is a dark humor conundrum to look at Angelspit’s latest album “The Ignorance Cartel” and compare it to the recent world events that surrounded its release. Though never intended to coincide with the Covid-19 outbreak (its progress was started twelve months before the pandemic hit) it’s hard to deviate the cyberpunk-rooted material, themes, and lyrics from all that’s been said about and during the infestation.
With help from The Basement Labs, this video starts comfortably disturbing, but soon decays into a paranoid-fueled glitch meltdown.
